It’s Only a Month

30 day photography challenge | Photography challenge, 30 days ...

For God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1:7, English Standard Version.)

TED Talk Thursday is one of my favorite days of this new format. OK, its definitely in the top seven (hehehe). Like anything else, there are those things you enjoy more than others. This is one I really enjoy. I find most TED Talks ti be really interesting. And, as someone who speaks in public regularly, I am able to pick up things that aid my delivery techniques.

This week our TED Talk is a really short talk but I also found it to be a profound idea called a thirty day challenge. During the ensuing 30 days take on a challenge to improve some aspect of your life. It can be a new skill, losing weight, regular reading, meditating, praying. The thing about 30-days, it takes about that long to actually develop something like this as a new habit or skill.

Take a look at today’s TED Talk from Matt Cutts titled, “Try Something New for Thirty Days.”

This is something I want to try. Beginning in September, I am going to issue a few consecutive 30-Day Challenge. For September I thought we would start with something pretty simple. Most of us have cameras on our mobile phone. September’s 30 day challenge will be to take pictures of various things for a month. I have needed to get my full web-page going and this seems like a good motivation to get it done. As you take your pictures, send them to me (good clean wholesome pictures only please. I run a G-rated site.

I have a few other things going through my mind for some up-coming months so keep your eyes open. Imagine regularly gaining a new skill or new knowledge.

God is regularly doing new things. Since we are created in the image of God, perhaps we should be seeking out these opportunities too. This excites me and I hope you will join me.

Be Blessed.

Seeking the Genuine,
Keith
