Grace, We Know

I missed “Sing Along Saturday” last week but I am back with it today. Today’s poem that will become a song, “Grace, We Know,” has its roots in Psalm 8.

Verse 1
Why Lord, why on earth do you care?
Into the star filled sky I stare.
With all your power all you made
Lord we fell short. We missed the grade.

Chorus
God of all power. God of all grace.
Father, help us not to live in haste.
Help us to slow down, help us to lead,
And stop on our way to plant some seeds.

Verse 2
We failed in what you asked us to do
To teach faith to people old and new.
You set us on the path we should go,
The path to You, because grace we know.

Chorus
God of all power. God of all grace.
Father, help us not to live in haste.
Help us to slow down, help us to lead,
And stop on our way to plant some seeds.

Bridge
We don’t understand why you do care
To know all God’s gifts, is very rare.
Help us see and know your love is great
Your grace will lead us, through heaven’s gates,

Chorus
God of all power. God of all grace.
Father, help us not to live in haste.
Help us to slow down, help us to lead,
And stop on our way to plant some seeds.

If you haven’t done so before, please go to revbroyles.me and subscribe. That would really help me a lot. WordPress will email you when I publish a new post, allowing you to see it before it is published in the several places on Facebook where I do currently post on Facebook, Twitter, and Linked-In. I would really appreciate it if you can do that for me.

I pray you have a blessed weekend.

Seeking the Genuine,
Keith
